Running through treacle

I forced myself out of bed at 6:00 this morning, second day in a row of getting up for a run, the joys of moving to four runs a week.  I took it nice and easy yesterday but with some trepidation I knew I had to do interval training this morning.

Luckily the Shuffle knew I needed some help and mainly pumped Killers songs into my ears.

So, with the help of the Shuffle off I went, out the door, huge gust of wind in the face.  'Oh great!'

The first 5k were into the wind, a bit of resistance training for good measure.  I cursed as I went but still did my 800m reps.  At the 5k point my route turns then after 7k I had the wind full in my back.  The final 3k were a doddle with my enemy turned friend The Wind pushing me along like a sailing boat.

Home, quick shower, bit of breakfast then off for a day in the office.  Not a bad start to the day.
