Finally gave in and went to see a Physio this morning about my ankle as the recovery seems to have stalled. Well to be honest it was a bit of a shock, I have partially ruptured my Soleus muscle and as I have been walking differently to compensate for that I also now have shin splints as well!!
The Physio was excellent, he did some work on the injuries which I have to say was the most painful thing I have ever experienced but if it helps I can put up with it, Back again for more torture next Tuesday.
The biggest disappointment of it all is I can't run or cross train for 2 weeks and then he will see if I can start again, the 10k is getting ever closer so this is not good news, but I will see what happens.
